An algebraic expression or equation that uses only addition, subtraction, multiplication and positive integer exponent operations on the variable, i.e., no division by variables (negative exponents), no exponential expressions (exponents that are variables, \(2^x\) etc. ) and no radicals/roots (fractional exponents).
