Working at Height

In the construction industry we regularly have to be working at heights. This can not only mean working above the ground or floor but can also mean working around openings in the ground or floor such as excavations. We must ensure we take steps to ensure we are working in a safe manner at all times, and this includes any time there is a risk of a fall from height. We must make sure that any control measures for working at height are in place before work starts.
Programmes must include practical working at heights safety training and assessment, evidenced by unit standards 23229 and 15757.
