Hi All,
I am writing to remind you that we have our next VEX Robotics Wellington Club Night on Thursday this week 05 Jun 2014. Teams can come from 4.00pm to WelTec Petone - N Block - room NE039. WelTec students will usually be working on their robots from around 5pm.
N Block is between Kensington Ave and Cuba St Petone. There is free parking after 5pm, and access from either end of the building. It doesn't matter if you don't have a robot - feel free to come along and have a look anyway!
Note that the Wellington Regional Competition for the KiwiChallenge to be held at WelTec this Saturday 7th June from 10am. The competition will be held in the WelTec Student Hub which is at the foot of the 7 storey high WelTec tower block building on Kensington Ave Petone.
Parking will be available on Saturday, in the WelTec staff carpark on Kensington Ave. Further parking will be available in the staff and student carpark on Cuba St, but it is uncertain whether access to Kensington Ave will be available through N Block. There will be plenty of parking available in the WelTec carpark on the far side of the Petone Recreation Ground (off Udy St) which is still only a short walk away from the Student Hub.
Everyone is welcome to come and have a look at what's going on, so feel free to pass this invitation on to family, friends, colleagues etc. There is a flier for Saturday's event attached to this message so please feel free to circulate it and post a copy up at your school or workplace.
We expect teams from Palmerston North and possibly further afield, to come down to Wellington for this Regional KiwiChallenge Competition. We also expect to have the elements for the new international competition on display, along with a VEX Robot built specially to compete in the new international competition.
