Hi All,

You are getting this email as you are a member of the "VEX ROBOTICS in Wellington Group" for 2013, on WelTec's Moodle Site.  If you should not be in this group, feel free to remove yourself from the group by visiting the site at the link below, or alternatively, let me (Adrian) know via email. If you know of others who would like to join the group, feel free to forward this email.  New members can join the group by following the instructions on the site at the link below.  The group can be found at the following address;

I am writing to remind you about the first WelTec based, "VEX Robotics in Wellington Scrimmage", and the first WelTec Engineering Club Night for this year, which will be held from;

 5.30pm to 8.30pm TONIGHT (Wednesday 17th April) in WelTec's N Block

The VEX activities will centre around the corridor near NE039 (the Mechatronics Lab).  FREE PARKING is available at that time of day in carparks at either end of the N Block building - ie off Cuba St, or off Kensington Ave, Petone.

WelTec VEX Robotics, and WelTec Engineering Club meetings will be held on the first and third Wednesday of each month, and will offer a chance to expand your engineering skills, have fun, and enhance your employment prospects.

For more info on VEX Robotics, go to;
https://moodle.weltec.ac.nz/course/view.php?id=430

WelTec students, students from local high schools, and interested people from the community are welcome to come along to our Engineering Club Nights, mainly to work on VEX Robots, and to compete with other VEX Robotics teams in "mini competitions" called Scrimmages.  If you are new to VEX and want to start a team, experienced and keen to help others, or somewhere in-between, the best thing to do is to come along to one of our WelTec Engineering Club nights.  There will also be opportunities for people who are not WelTec students or staff members, to meet informally with WelTec students and staff.  In due course there MAY be opportunities for guests to participate in other engineering activities on WelTec Engineering Club Nights, such as helping out with construction of the sports car which is being built from scratch.

To find out more, come along on this evening!  We look forward to seeing you!

Cheers

Adrian
